Gazprom executive says top managers Medvedev, Golubev retire
MOSCOW, Feb 26 (PRIME) -- Deputy CEOs of Russian gas giant Gazprom Alexander Medvedev and Valery Golubev have retired, Deputy CEO Andrei Kruglov said on Tuesday, a day after the company notified of their resignation after more than 10 years of service.
Media reports connected the resignations to a recent case against Russian Senator Rauf Arashukov and his father Raul, advisor to CEO of Gazprom Mezhregiongaz.
Kruglov said, “I can add nothing substantial to the information in the press statement,” Kruglov said. “The two deputies, Valery Golubev and Alexander Medvedev, quit the posts due to retirement.”
